Round Sauté Dish CL 02325% off
This round sauté dish can be used both on the hob and in the oven, as can all tierra negra designs. With a diameter of 22 cm (28 cm across the handles), it’s ideal for baking bread and roasting vegetables and if you need to make a quick dessert, just fry some apples with butter and brown sugar and add some rolled oats. Unlike most potters, the women who make these dishes do not use a wheel; instead they place a large flat lamina of clay, like a pancake, over on upturned mould and then trim and round off the edges. Making the handles requires rather more skill and you can often tell one potter from another by the shape of the handles; they are all different.
