Origins of tierra negra®
The origins of tierra negra ™ cookware can be traced back at least 700 years to vases and pitchers found in pre-Columbian archaeological sites. To this day it is still made in the same traditional manner in a few small villages.
Tote/Shopper Bags
These colourful shoulder bags are inspired by the pouches which Andean messengers used when travelling over the mountains on foot. The bags are hand-tailored and the material handwoven on traditional looms, using techniques and designs passed down over the generations. Fast dyes are used to create the bright colours traditionally found on the costumes which are still worn on festive occasions throughout the Andes. Without lining or inner pockets, these easy-to-wear bag are durable, practical and versatile. They are also machine washable. Size (bag only): W 35 x H 33 cm Full height including straps: 62 cm
